Crunch's Lindstrom named Player of the Week

Lindstrom recorded four points and was named the game’s first star in Syracuse’s 6-4 victory over Manitoba on Friday night. His second goal of the contest was the game-winner and came with just 3:54 remaining in regulation. On Saturday, Lindstrom scored another go-ahead third-period goal and added two assists in the Crunch’s 4-3 overtime loss at Toronto.
In recognition of his achievement, Lindstrom will be presented with an etched crystal award prior to an upcoming Crunch home game.
A second-round draft choice by the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2002, Lindstrom has climbed to seventh in the AHL in scoring with 22 points (10 goals, 12 assists) in 20 games for Syracuse this season. He set career highs in goals (22) and points (48) with the Crunch in 2006-07, and has totaled 50 goals and 71 assists for 121 points in 147 career AHL games. Lindstrom, a 23-year-old native of Skelleftea, Sweden, has also appeared in 12 NHL games with the Blue Jackets.
