Dupont named ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week

Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Michael Dupont of the Rimouski Oceanic is the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending Sunday November 25 after posting a 2-0-0-0 record with a 0.50 goals against average and .982 save percentage in two games.

Dupont turned aside 31 of 32 shots in a 7-1 win over the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies on Friday and then earned a 25-save shutout in a 4-0 win over the Quebec Remparts on Sunday. The a 20-year-old from Bienne, Switzerland improved his season record to 9-9 with a 2.81 goals against average and .897 save percentage in 18 games.

Joey Perricone of the Moose Jaw Warriors was the WHL nominee after posting a 2-0-0-1 record with a 0.65 goals against average and .975 save percentage in three games and Plymouth Whalers’ goaltender Jeremy Smith was the OHL nominee after posting a 3-0-0-0 record with a 1.33 goals against average and .964 save percentage.
