Chiefs' Drayson Bowman named CHL Player of the Week

Bowman scored three goals and added a pair of assists and was the first star in Spokane's 6-0 win over the Chilliwack Bruins on Wednesday and then chipped in two goals and an assist in a 5-3 win over the Tri-City Americans on Saturday. Bowman was the second star in that game.
The 18-year-old native of Littleton, Colorado, now has a league-leading 23 goals to go along with 19 assists and is second in the OHL scoring race with 42 points in 25 games. Bowman, a third round pick by the Carolina Hurricanes in the NHL Entry Draft last June, has 16 points in five games over the past two weeks.
Plymouth Whalers' goaltender Jeremy Smith was the OHL nominee after posting a 3-0-0-0 record with a 1.33 goals against average and .964 save percentage and Matthew Pistilli of the Gatineau Olympiques was the QMJHL nominee after scoring a goal and four assists for five points in two games.
