Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Ryan White of the Calgary Hitmen is the CHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday February 3 after scoring five goals and five assists for 10 points in four games.
White scored a goal in Calgary’s 5-1 win over the Kootenay Ice on Tuesday and added two more goals, including the game-winner, and three assists in a 6-3 win over the Ice on Wednesday. White scored another goal in a 4-0 win over the Edmonton Oil Kings on Friday and wrapped up the week with a goal and two assists in a 4-1 win over the Medicine Hat Tigers on Saturday.
The 19-year-old native of Brandon, MB has scored 25 goals to go along with 34 assists for 59 points in 52 games this season.
Thomas McCollum of the Guelph Storm was the OHL nominee after posting a 2-0-0-0 record with a 0.50 goals against average and .987 save percentage in two games and Danick Paquette of the Lewiston MAINEiacs was the QMJHL nominee after scoring four goals and one assists in two games.
