The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Michael Swift of the Niagara IceDogs is the Boston Pizza OHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday February 10 after scoring six goals and three assists for nine points in three games.
After playing in the OHL All-Star Classic last week in Sault Ste. After being held off the score sheet in a 2-1 win over the London Knights on Friday, Swift scored his second hat trick of the week and added an assist in a 5-2 win over the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors on Sunday. He was named the first start of the game.
Swift, a 20-year-old native of Peterborough, improved his season totals to 25 goals and 49 assists for 74 points in 53 games.
