BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, February 11, 2008 – Acadie-Bathurst Titan forward Mathieu Perreault and Gatineau Olympiques goaltender Ryan Mior today were named the TELUS offensive and defensive players of the week for the period extending from February 4 to 10.

On the offensive side, the Titan sniper registered three goals and six helpers while recording an impressive +5 rating in four games. Over that span, Acadie-Bathurst won games over the Rocket (2) and the Mooseheads. Perreault played arguably his best game of the week on Saturday against Halifax, collecting four points in a 10-6 win. The Titan forward has now registered at least one point in 26 consecutive games. He is tied for second atop the scoring standings with 80 points.

Jakub Voracek (2-6-8) of Halifax, Tomy Joly (3-5-8) of Acadie-Bathurst and Stefano Giliati (4-3-7) of Lewiston were also considered.

The defensive player of the week award goes to Gatineau Olympiques backstop Ryan Mior. In two contests, Mior stopped a total of 53 shots to maintain a 0.50 goals-against-average and .981 save percentage. In the first of his two starts, he blocked 32 shots in a 5-1 victory over the Tigres. He followed up that effort with 21 saves in a 3-0 win over the Quebec Remparts in front of 3,866 fans assembled at the Robert-Guertin Arena. It was his fifth shutout of the season, tying the team record set by José Theodore during the 1995-96 season. Moreover, it was the fourteenth shutout of his career, besting the all-time record (13+1) which belonged to Titan goaltender Adam Russo.

Drew Paris (4-3-7; +9) of Acadie-Bathurst, Jason Legault (2-2-4; +3) of Val-d’Or and Maxime Renaud (1-3-4; +9) of Acadie-Bathurst were also considered.
