Courchaine named Boston Pizza Player of the Week

The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Ottawa 67’s goaltender Adam Courchaine is the Boston Pizza OHL Player of the Week after posting a 2-1-0-0 record along with a 1.33 goals against average and .961 save percentage in three games last week.

Courchaine was the first star after making 42 saves in a 2-1 win over the Kingston Frontenacs on Wednesday in Kingston. He allowed two goals on 28 shots and was the second star in a 2-0 loss to the Peterborough Petes on Friday and finished the week with 28 saves and was the third star in a 5-1 win over the Sudbury Wolves on Sunday.

Courchaine improved his season record to 17-25-2-2 with a 3.24 goals against average and .905 save percentage in 48 games. The 19-year-old from Kanata is in his first OHL season.
