Team USA brought their usual complement of talented defensemen to the 2014 IIHF U18 World Championship. One of those skilled defenders, Jack Glover, has provided the type of solid, two-way play that has been his stock in trade this season.
In five games for the U.S., Glover has netted one goal and added three assists while posting a +2 rating. His point total has Glover among the top scoring defenseman at this U18 tournament.
Like most of the players on the USA's U18 squad, Glover played for the U.S. NTDP in 2013-14. In 24 games for the squad that competed in the USHL, Glover posted a goal and nine assists while finishing with a +4 rating. Glover is a highly ranked player for the 2014 NHL Draft who could have his named called in the lower reaches of the first round.
Hockey's Future spoke with Glover at the U18, a conversation that is captured in this HF video.
