Danny Kristo Omaha Lancers

NHL: Montreal (Round 2, 2008)

Kristo had a good week, helping the Lancers win a pair of games and keep pace with 1st place Lincoln in the West Division standings. Kristo had one assist in a 4-3 loss to Sioux Falls on Wednesday. He had another assist in Friday’s 3-2 overtime win against Cedar Rapids. He then scored a goal and had two assists in Saturday’s 5-2 win at Sioux City. He had 16 shots on goal in the three games.

CCM Defensive Player of the Week

Nick Pryor Des Moines Buccaneers

Woodbury, Minnesota
College: Maine
NHL: Anaheim (Round 7, 2008)

Pryor had a big weekend and helped Des Moines win back-to-back games for the first time this season. On Friday, he had a goal and two assists, including setting up the game-winner, in a 5-3 home win over Fargo. The next night, Pryor added an assist on a power play goal in a 2-1 win over Sioux Falls, also at home. He had four shots on goal for the weekend and finished +1.

Stauber’s Goaltender of the Week

Joe Howe Waterloo Black Hawks

Plymouth, Minnesota
College: Colorado College
NHL: Undrafted

Howe was between the pipes for a pair of Waterloo road wins on the weekend, helping the Black Hawks stay hot, as they have won eight of their past ten games. Howe made 23 saves in a 2-1 win at Sioux City on Friday. The next night he made 30 saves in a 7-2 win at Tri-City. He went 2-0-0 for the week with a 1.50 goals against average and a .946 save percentage.
