David Gerths Lincoln Stars
College: Notre Dame
Gerths had a big weekend, helping Lincoln keep the lead in the West Division and extending the team’s winning streak to five games. Gerths also extended his scoring streak to four games. He scored a goal and added an assist in the Stars’ 4-2 win at Des Moines on Friday. The next night, he scored a goal, the game-winner, and had an assist in a 4-3 win over Fargo. He had six shots on goal and was +2 for the week.

CCM Defensive Player of the Week
Max Nicastro Chicago Steel
College: Boston University
NHL: Detroit (Round 4, 2008)
Nicastro had a solid weekend for the Steel and helped the team stay in the hunt for a playoff spot in the East Division. On Friday, Nicastro scored a goal and assisted on the game-winner in a 2-1 win at Cedar Rapids. After going without a point in Saturday’s loss at Green Bay, Nicastro set up the first goal of the game in Sunday’s 6-4 win over Des Moines. He finished the week +3.

Stauber’s Goaltender of the Week
Eric Hartzell Sioux Falls Stampede
Hartzell sparkeled in the Sioux Falls net, helping the Stampede win a pair of games and game some distance from Sioux City in the standings. On Wednesday he came within one minute of his second shutout of the year, making 24 saves in a 6-1 win over Sioux City. On Friday, he made 28 saves as the Herd won at Fargo, 3-1. He was 2-0 with a 1.00 goals against average and a .963 save percentage.
