The Gamblers top scorer had a nice week and stretched his scoring streak to nine games. On Wednesday, Forney scored the game-winner and had an assist in a 3-2 overtime win over Waterloo. On Friday, he had a goal an assist in a 7-1 win over Tri- City. Saturday he had a goal and two assists in a 7-0 win, also over Tri-City. He had 13 shots on goal and was a +7 for the Gamblers, who have won 10 straight.

Patrick Wey Waterloo Black Hawks

Wey had a big week as the Black Hawks went 1-1-1. On Wednesday, he had an assist in Waterloo’s 3-2 overtime loss to Green Bay. On Friday, he had another assist in a 4- 3 loss to Sioux Falls. Then on Saturday he scored twice, including the game-winner, in a 6-3 win over Sioux City, which snapped the Musketeers’ winning streak at five. Wey had four shots on goal and was +1 for the week.

Johnson takes home the league’s weekly honor for the third time this year, after going 3-0-0 and helping Cedar Rapids keep pace with Green Bay in the East Divsion. On Friday, he made 15 saves in two periods of a 5-4 win over Chicago. Saturday, he made 28 saves in a 2-1 win over Lincoln. Then on Sunday, he made 23 saves in a 5-2 win over Sioux City. He had a 2.63 GAA and a .904 save percentage.
