The Kelowna Rockets and Brandon Wheat Kings are the top teams in their respective conferences in the WHL, but another team is nipping at their heels for the overall points lead. That team is the Medicine Hat Tigers, who currently sit six points behind the second overall Wheat Kings. The Tigers don’t sport a lineup with as much star power as either Kelowna or Brandon, instead relying on an overall team effort mixed with good goaltending.

The guest on this Hockey’s Future podcast is Glen Erickson, the WHL writer for HF. He discusses the Tigers’ roster, some additions the team made prior to the trade deadline, and what their prospects might be heading down the stretch in the 2014-15 season. Players discussed in this podcast include Trevor Cox, Markus Eisenschmid, Tommy Vannelli, Tyler Lewington, and Marek Langhamer.
