Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Chris Carrozzi of the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors is the CHL Goaltender of the Week for the second week of playoffs ending March 28. Carrozzi won three games between the pipes including a shutout victory and posted a goals-against-average of 1.33 and save percentage of .949.
Carrozzi backstopped the Majors to a first round series sweep of the Peterborough Petes in OHL playoff action highlighted by a perfect 27 save performance Thursday night in a 3-0 Game four win to close out the series. Carrozzi also made 18 saves in a 2-1 win in Game two of the series last Monday night, and another 29 saves as part of a 5-3 win in Game three of the series last Tuesday.
