The Edmonton Oilers passed up a chance to draft the top rated goaltender in 2010 in the form of Calvin Pickard, and instead selected another WHL goaltending prospect in the fifth round of the draft, Tyler Bunz. Bunz had a successful season with the Medicine Hat Tigers which helped in raising his profile a bit for the 2010 NHL Draft. The selection of Bunz adds some depth to the Oilers goaltending depth chart, which includes 2009 selection, Olivier Roy.
Bunz is taking part in his first NHL training camp. HF writer Glen Erickson caught up with Bunz at the 2010 Young Guns Tournament for this HF Podcast interview.
