St. Louis Blues rookie defenseman Colton Parayko put two shots on net in his team’s 4-3 win over the Calgary Flames, and both connected for goals including Parayko’s first NHL goal. Parayko’s second was also the game-winning goal, making it a night to remember for the Alberta native.

With the score tied at two early in the second period and the Blues on the power play, St. Louis forward Jori Lehtera and Parayko passed the puck back and forth at the left point before Parayko sized up a shot from the center of the blueline.

Parayko’s second goal came late in the second, off a wrist shot from the right point off a drop-pass from Alexander Steen.

Parayko turned pro last season following the completion of his junior year at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. He produced four goals and seven points in 17 late-season AHL games with the Chicago Wolves in 2014-15, and made the Blues roster after a solid preseason showing.
