Looking to avoid relegation was not how the outcome Austin Watson and his USA teammates were looking for coming into the tournament. The USA had a couple of games where they filled the net, including their relegation game against Latvia in which they won, 12-2. But in games against tougher competition, they had trouble putting the puck in the net, a problem that has led to their being on the outside looking in.
Watson talked to the media following his team’s 12-2 win over Latvia.
