(Video) 2016 U18 World Championship: Bellows, USA display offensive firepower in win over Latvia

While Team USA could have taken their opponent, Team Latvia, lightly, they instead put on a consistent and impressive offensive display in a 12-1 win over Latvia on Sunday night at the 2016 IIHF U18 World Championship.

In all, 16 USA players hit the scoresheet in the win, with forward Trent Frederic leading the way with a hat trick plus an assist for a 4-point game. Adam Fox (1G, 2A), William Lockwood (3A), and Clayton Keller (1G, 2A) all put up three points on the night.

One other 3-point performer, forward Kieffer Bellows, was named Player of the Game for the U.S. Bellows picked up a goal and added two assists while firing a team-high nine shots on goal in the win over Latvia. The son of former NHL forward Brian Bellows competed for the U.S. NTDP team in 2015-16, but will be a part of an impressive freshman group heading to Boston University next fall.

Bellows is ranked 10th among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting in their final rankings for the 2016 NHL Draft, and is ranked 16th overall by ISS Hockey in their April rankings.
