Blue Jacket Prospect Update

By Bill Drake

Before getting into the prospect list, Matt Davidson was recalled by Columbus to play against the Atlanta Thrashers tonight.

Chris Nielen currently is 2g-1a-3p with 10 PIMs in 17 games with the Syracuse Crunch.

Blake Bellefeuille has just 1g and 18 PIMs with the Crunch in 15 games.

Brad Moran has 2g-4a-6p with 18 PIMs in 18 games with the Crunch.

Matheui Darche, who the Columbus Dispatch thought merited a call-up, has 5g-11a-16p with 6 PIMs in 21 games.

Jonanthan Schill was demoted to the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL and for them has 4g-1a-5p and 31 PIMs in 11 games. With the Crunch he registered no points and 4 PIMs in two games.

Matt Davidson, the latest CBJ call-up, has 3g-3a-6p and 8 PIMs in 21 games for Syracuse.

Martin Spanhel has 1g-3a-4p and 37 PIMs in 17 games for Syracuse.

Dan Watson, a defenseman, has 1g-2a-3p and no PIMs in 13 games for the Crunch.

Jeremy Reich has 1g-3a-4p with 16 PIMs in Syracuse.

Jeff Williams, who almost can’t be considered a prospect anymore, has 4g-10a-14p in 21 games for Syracuse.

Jody Shelley, the Crunch’s resident goon (his personal profile has a picture of him with gloves off and fists clenched), has 2a and 103 PIM in 20 games. Congrads Jody for breaking the century mark already. Here’s to you going for 300 PIM.

Rounding out the list is Bill Bowler who has 10g-12a-22p in 22 games for the Crunch.

Later I will be updating the stats for the Blue Jackets European prospects
