By pbadmin

The Atlanta Thrashers are going with a
youth first movement that seems to be effective, especially in the development of their
prize prospects. Four Thrasher prospects have been named to the Tryout camp roster of the
Canadian World Junior Hockey Championship Team. Thirty-four players recived invitations to
the camp. The four Thrashers selected are the most taken from any NHL stable.

Among the players selected for the tryouts:

Player POS WT. HT. BIRTHDAY CURRENT TEAM LEAGUE
Rob Zepp G 185 6'0" 09-07-81 Plymouth (OHL)
Garnet Exelby D 210 6'2" 08-16-81 Saskatoon (WHL)

The Selection means that the players will attend
the camp december 13th-18th at Beatrice Ice Garden in North York, Ontario. Twenty-two
players will make the final roster, and the trip to Russia for the Championships in russia
beginning on December 26th. Notable was the selection of Thrashers 1999 number one
