For sake of space and time, I am not going to list the trades for picks that involved this year, but will list all trades that effect next year’s draft and rosters. If any of the writers or editors want to know the draft pick swaps, please write me

- Atlanta trades it’s 8th round pick (230th overall) to the Rangers for D Jeff Dessner.

- New Jersey trades its 4th round pick in 2001 (112th overall) and 7th round pick in 2002 for Atlanta’s 3rd round pick in 2002

- Calgary trades the rights to D Paul Manning in exchange for Buffalo’s fifth round pick (157th overall)

- Philadephia trades a 4th round pick (110th overall) in exchange for Carolina’s 3rd round pick in 2002

- Dallas trades D Richard Jackman to Boston for RW Cameron Mann

- Philadelphia trades the 4th round pick (123rd overall), 5th round pick (138th overall) and 7th round pick (219th overall) to Tampa for their 2002 3rd round pick

- Atlanta trades a 4th round pick (122nd overall) to St. Louis for LW Lubos Bartecko.

- Carolina trades its 5th round pick (149th overall) to Colorado in exchange for LW Chris Dingman

- Tampa Bay trades a 6th round pick (184th overall) to Colorado for D Nolan Pratt

- Montreal trades its 8th round pick (235th overall) to Ottawa for RW Andreas Dackell.

- Philadelphia trades D Dean McAmmond to Calgary in exchange for Calgary’s 4th round pick in 2002 draft.

- Calgary trades a 7th round pick (226th overall) to the Rangers for their 7th round pick in 2002

- Philadelphia trades its 8th round pick (252nd overall) and a 9th round pick in 2002 to Tampa for their 7th round pick in 2002.

- Colorado trades a 9th round pick (289th overall) to Tampa in exchange for the 9th round pick in 2002

- Buffalo trades the rights to C Michael Peca to the Islanders for C Tim Connolly and LW Taylor Pyatt.
