Bob Crawford Wins Ellery Award
Hartford Wolf Pack Radio Broadcaster Bob Crawford is named winner of the 2001 James H. Ellery Award for outstanding media contributions in the radio category.

Bob has spent 13 seasons doing radio broadcasts in the AHL for Adirondack, Providence, Binghamton, and Hartford. Bob was also an on ice reporter during the 2001 AHL All Star Game.

Hartford Wolf Pack Raise Ticket Prices and Charge More On Game Day
The Hartford Wolf Pack raised ticket prices for the fourth time since 1997-98. Ticket Prices went up $1.50 on both the upper and lower level. Ticket prices are now $20.00 for the lower level and $17.50 for the upper level.

In addition to the increase from last seasons ticket prices, the Wolf Pack also charges another dollar on game day. Raising the increase $2.50 from last season. The lower level will now be $21.00 and the upper level will be $18.50 at the box office on game day. This is the first time that the Hartford Wolf Pack are charging more money on game day, and are one of two teams that charge more money on game day.

Emile Francis and Norman Poile Honored with New AHL Trophies
The AHL's two new division trophies will be named in the honor of Emile "The Cat" Francis for the North Division and Norman "Bud" Poile for the West Division.

Francis played 343 games in the American Hockey League, and was on the Calder Cup Champion Cleveland Barons in 1954. In addition to his time in the AHL "The Cat' has played 14 seasons of professional hockey. Emile has served in the NHL from Coach to General Manager and won the Lester Patrick Trophy in 1982 and was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame also in 1982.

Poile started his playing career in the 1940's and won the Stanley Cup in 1947 with the Toronto Maple Leafs. In the Western Hockey League Bud oversaw championship teams in Edmonton and San Francisco. Poile was also general manager for the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers and the Vancouver Canucks. Bud also served as the general manager for the AHL's Quebec Aces from 1968 to 1970. Poile served as the vice president of the World Hockey Association and commissioner for both the Central Hockey League and International Hockey League. In 1990 Bud Poile was elected into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
