Petr Kanko, a top czech prospect for this years draft, is playing for Kitchener illegaly. Kanko still has a valid contract in Sparta and went to Kitchener without permition to leave and without obtaining a transfer card from the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), the club said on Friday. That´s why IIHF was instructed to solve this matter and it should forbidd Kanko to play.
This information was given by the Sparta Prague manager Martin Urban. Sparta expects it´s top junior player to return and fulfill his current contract. This case was also given to a Czech lawyers and if Kanko wont make up his mind, he may be facing the Canadian court of justice. Let´s hope this player is as smart as talented.
