Ron Hainsey -D (Drafted-00(1/13))

Hainsey remains unable to play. He suffered a wrist injury on October 24th, and could return to action within the next few days. Overall, the 6’3″, 200-lbs defenseman has played 7 games. He has 6 points (3-3-6), and is +3 with 6 minutes in penalties.

Mike Ribeiro -C (Drafted-98(2/45))

Riberio managed 3 points through 3 games since our last update. His best offensive game came against St. John. He scored 1 goal and added 1 assist during the 3-2 win. Overall, the shifty center has played 12 AHL games. He has 12 points (5-7-12), and is +7 with 18 minutes in penalties. One of his goals was scored on the powerplay, while another was scored shorthanded. He’s also directed 29 shots on goal.

Michael Ryder -W (Drafted-98(8/216))

Ryder was shutout through 3 games this week. Overall, the 6’1″, 195-lbs winger has played 13 games. He has 4 points (2-2-4), and is +2 with 2 minutes in penalties. He’s also managed 13 shots on goal.

Eric Chouinard -F (Drafted-98(1/16))

Chouinard was shutout through 3 games this week, and is currently on a season-high 3-game scoreless streak. Overall, the 6’3″, 207-lbs forward has played 18 games. He has 18 points (7-11-18), and is +3 with 2 minutes in penalties. He also has a team leading 52 shots on goal.

Mathieu Descoteaux -D (Drafted-96(1/19) Edmonton)

Marcel Hossa -C/W (Drafted-00(1/16))

Mississippi’s Jerome Marois scored 1 goal through 3 games this week. Overall, the 6’0″, 192-lbs winger has played 7 ECHL games. He has 2 points (1-1-2), and is minus-6 with 14 shots on goal.

Olivier Michaud -G (Free Agent-2001(3-y contract))

Michaud enjoyed a 3-0 record through 4 games this week. He was pulled after allowing 3 goals on 19 shots during a 6-4 loss to Rimouski, but was not credited with the loss. Overall the 5’11, 163-lbs goalie is 17-3-1 with a QMJHL leading 2.21 GAA, and an .897 save percentage. He’s second in the league with 17 wins, while his save percentage is good enough for 6th place.

Christian Larrivée -C (Drafted-00(4/114))

Chicoutimi’s Christian Larrivée registered 2 assists through 1 game this week. Overall, the 6’3″, 195-lbs Larrivée has played 26 games. He has 30 points (15-15-30) to go along with 23 minutes in penalties. He has raised his plus/minus to a season-high plus-1, while 6 of his 15 goals were scored on the powerplay.

Duncan Milroy -RW (Drafted-01(2/37))

Swift Current’s Duncan Milroy managed 6 points through 3 games since our last update. His best offensive game came against Medicine Hat, as he scored 2 goals and added 2 assists during the 7-3 win. Milroy’s goal total remains good enough for 3rd in the WHL. Overall, the 6’0″, 185-lbs winger has played 23 games. He has 31 points (20-11-31), and is -3 with 18 minutes in penalties. Six of his goals were scored on the powerplay, while 2 others were scored shorthanded.

Josef Balej -RW (Drafted-00(3/78))

Scott Selig -C/RW (Drafted-00(6/172))

Northeastern University’s Scott Selig did not play in any games this week. Overall, the 6’3″, 180-lbs. forward has played 11 games. He has 1 goal, and is a disappointing -8 with 14 minutes in penalties. His lone goal was scored on the powerplay, and he’s directed 22 shots on goal.

Ryan Glenn -D (Drafted-00(5/145))

St. Lawrence University’s Ryan Glenn was shutout through 2 games this week. Overall, the 6’2″, 210-lbs. defenseman has played 9 games. He has 1 assist, and is -3 with 4 minutes in penalties.

HPK’s Joni Puurula has begun to dress for games for the first time since the preseason, but has yet to see any in-game action.

Johan Eneqvist -F (Drafted-00(4/109))

Leksands IF’s Johan Eneqvist was shutout through 2 games since our last update. Overall, the 6’0″, 190-lbs forward has played 20 games. He has 2 points (0-2-2) to go along with 10 minutes in penalties

Tomas Plekanec -LW (Drafted-01(3/71))

Kladno’s Tomas Plekanec managed 1 assist through 3 games since our last update. Overall, the 5’10”, 196-lbs winger has played 25 games. He has 10 points (4-6-10), and is -7 with 22 minutes in penalties.

Victor Ujcik -F (Drafted-01(9/266))

Slavia Praha’s Viktor Ujcik picked up 3 points through 3 games this week. Overall, the 5’10”, 194-lbs winger has played 25 games. He has 17 points (7-10-17), and is -7 with 16 minutes in penalties.

Hab you Heard?

Kim Staal, the Habs’ 4th round pick in ’96 has 14 points (6-8-14) through 24 games with Modo of the Swedish Elite League. He’s +2, with 6 minutes in penalties. One of his goals was scored on the powerplay.

-Ilkka Mikkola, the Habs’ 3rd round pick in ’97 has 1 goal through 25 games with Jokerit of the Finnish Elite League. He is +6 with 10 minutes in penalties.

-Evan Lindsay has a 3-3 record though 6 games with Mississippi of the ECHL. He has a 3.36 GAA, and an .896 save percentage.
