Wings Sweep out the Year
The Danville Wings swept out the year with 2 wins over the Chicago Freeze. Bryan Marshall led the charge with 2 goals with Logan Bittle getting the game winning goal and Jeremy Hall adding a goal to defeat Chicago 4-1 Friday night. Rick Cazares stopped 20 out of 21 shots. The next night with both teams tied at 4 goals after 2 periods, Marek Hornak scored the game winner with a great pass from R.A. Mobile to defeat the Freeze 5-4.

Logan Bittle contributed 2 goals (tying goal) and 1 assist with additional scoring from Jeremy Hall and Bryan Marshall. Marc Bowen stepping in after for an injured Cazares at 16:48 into the first period came up big with 23 out of 25 saves. Bowen making his first appearance since October 19 (vs. Pittsburgh) earned a well deserved win and a 1st Star of the game selection. The Wings enter the New Year 13-12-2 and second in the west division. The Wings have won 9 of their last 11 games out scoring their opponents 49 to 22.
