"We have spent a lot of time watching Corey this past season, we also spent a lot of time talking to him and his family after the season" says Pollos... "Cory is a great young man, both on and off the ice. He has great work ethic and great skills and will be an asset to our organization this coming season."
Couturier starred for the Marquette Electricians Midget Major Team this past season where he helped guide his team to a berth in the Michigan Midget AAA State Championship Game. With the Jr. Blues looking to re-tool this season, new Head Coach / GM Nick Pollos also selected forwards Jim Fuhs (Pittsburgh Hornets AAA) Danny Riedle (Mid South Storm AAA) and Gino Pisellini (Team Illinois 86).
On the Blue Line, the Jr. Blues added skill and size by selecting Michael Findorff (6'5" / 205, Pikes Peak AAA) and Shane Foster (6'4" / 205, Wisconsin H.S.) "We are very please with the results of our draft" said Pollos, "We addressed all our needs and are looking forward to the new season". In addition, the Jr. Blues also have some quality players returning as they look to build a new tradition and get back to North American Hockey League prominence.
