Mooseheads News and Notes

It is except that American James Sharrow will report to the Mooseheads for the 2002-03 season. He will be a great addiction to the Mooseheads blueline, with the loss of Veteran Louis Mandeville.

The Mooseheads are also hoping that Frederik Cabana will develop into a scoring forward over the years, This past season in midget Cabana had 20 goals and 16 assists in 37 games with Magog.

It appeared that Halifax got a steal in the draft by selecting Colin MacCormack who was ranked 9th overall by QMJHL Central Scouting. When they picked him in the 8th round 124th overall. But Colin who is a honor student in high school has no intention of playing in the QMJHL. He’s more interested in pursuing the NCAA route.

Also earlier in the week the Mooseheads released forwards Ryan White and Louis-Philippe Lessard.

Cam Russell has agreed to remain with the team as an Assistant Coach. Although Russell will be involved with the team in a more limited role as a result of family commitments. But will continue to be responsible for the Mooseheads defence.
