Lightning Prospect Workouts ’02

Looking to see the Lightning’s future this offseason? Well, don’t blink August 5th through 9th because with the cancellation of “B” camp this year as the final straw in the paring back of Lightning developmental functions, this might be your only chance. The Lightning will host a week-long informal conditioning camp for many of their CHL players prior to sending them back to their junior teams. In addition to CHLers, the event will be highlighted by the inclusion of 2000 and 2001 first round picks Nikita Alexeev and Alexander Svitov, as well as goaltending instruction for prospects Brian Eklund and Evgeny Konstantinov.

A week of informal conditioning workouts to prepare the players for their respective upcoming seasons.

Where:

Ice Sports Forum, Brandon, Florida

When:

Prospect workouts will be held August 5th through 9th, between 9am and 10am.

Why:

Why? Because we love you.

*Brandon Wheat Kings captain Ryan Craig will miss the camp as he is currently rehabbing an injury he played through during the WHL season.

*In order to maintain his potential eligibility for college, defenseman Arthur Femenella is coming to Tampa on his own dime.

Good luck to all the prospects coming to Brandon next week, and check back with Hockey’s Future all next week as we file reports from prospect workouts.
