This is Remi’s first year as a professional. He was Chicago’s 31st choice in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft. He spent 4 years in the QMJHL with Victoriaville, St. Hyacinthe, Rouyn-Noranda where his point totals were 56-92-148 and 723 PIM in 214 games. Remi was a QMJHL Post season All-Star in his final junior year with Rouyn-Noranda after posting a 28-40-68 in points and 205 PIM. He has played the ends of the last 2 years with Indianapolis with 0 goals and 3 assists and 21 PIM in 15 games. Remi is a big tough offensive minded defencemen, he has all the physical and natural tools to someday be a force in the NHL. He needs to grow into a team player, which would also allow him to better his defensive play. Plays with intensity and courage and is good in the corners. Likes the open ice hits. In a nutshell Remy is a good skater with plenty of toughness but must play with more discipline and simplicity.
