Andrew Alberts , the 21 year old B.C. defenseman is having a good year . Andrew has been taking a regular turn and is playing on special teams . Andrew’s stats are : 15gp , 3g , 3a and 6 pts. Albert was recently compared to Hal Gill by Jeff Gorton , however , I feel Andrew has a much bigger upside than Hal . Albert is more mobile .
Peter Metcalf , the 23 year old ex U. of Maine captain had a good training camp and is taking a regular turn with the Providence Bruins . Peter’s stats are : 21gp , 0g , 5a , 5pts , 14pim and +4 . Peter has offensive skill but needs defensive zone experience .
Kris Vernarsky , the 21 OHL product is having a solid year . He has been taking a regular turn for the Providence Bruins and showing more offensive skill than was previously expected . Kris’s stats are : 30gp , 6g , 11a , 17pts , 27pim and -9 . The Boston Bruins traded for Kris expecting a big third line checking center . Kris is exceeding expectations offensively but his -9 is not what you want from a checking center .
Kevin Dallman , another OHL product had a good camp for the Bruins . Kevin was taking a regular turn early in the season for the Providence Bruins . Recently , his ice time has been reduced . Kevin’s stats are : 27gp , 0g , 6a , 6pts , 12pts and -2 . Kevin has offensive skill and may need a few years of experience in the AHL to make the jump to the NHL .
