In the December World Junior B Championships the Norwegian team finished in 3rd place with a 2-2-1 record behind Austria and Slovenia. Stars draft pick Marius Holtet was the teams top scorer with 4 goals and 3 assists while up and comer Rene Boe added 7 points on 3 goals. Ole Kristian Tollefsen draft pick of the Jackets registered 2 goals and 6 points while playing defense for the Norwegians. Tollefsen was also a standout player in the tourney.
Patrick Thoresen is having a super season with Baie Comeau in the Canadian Juniors. Thoresen is among his teams scoring leaders with (47gp 22g 40a 62tp) and 11 power play goals. Thoresen is an undrafted player but his continued success in juniors will likely lead to a handful of tryouts with NHL clubs.
Ole Tollefsen has been playing in Brandon of the WHL and has recorded (26gp 5g 9a 14tp 50pim) so far. He is developing and his play has raised many eye brows.
