"Heino" is expected to be team Sweden's starting goalie in the championships. He is also perhaps the only Swedish goalie with a decent shot at getting drafted in the Entry Draft in June. Heino is a goalie that makes those big saves. He plays with a lot of heart and has a temper on the ice.

Gustaf Wesslau

Team: AIK

Wesslau is a slightly larger goalie than Heino-Lindberg and he covers the net well. He is not a flashy goalie but you can always expect him to do a good job out there. Will likely play 1-2 games or perhaps more if Heino fails to play convincing.

Kristoffer Bäckström

Bäckström has had a strong season with Brynäs in the junior league. He wasn't selected to play for Sweden orginally but when Johan Fransson turned down to play Bäckström was called up as the replacement. He is a smart player and plays pretty well at both ends.

Gustav Engman

Engman is a huge and strong stay-at-home defenseman. He has a lot of qualities that should impress the NHL-scouts. With a lot of work Engman will become a fine NHL-player in the future. Will likely see some ice-time with HV 71 in the elite league next season.

Stefan Erkgärds

A very capable defenseman that belongs to Färjestad, but since the team hasn't got a U20-team any longer Erkgärds spent the season with affiliate Skåre in the 3rd-tier league. Erkgärds is not very spectacular but he works hard and has a great attitude.

Elias Granath

Two-way defenseman Granath has grown quite a bit in the last year and is now a larger and stronger defenseman. He has a lot of talent and will be useful for the Swedish team. Very responsible in the defensive zone.

Johan Jonsson

Timrå's talented defenseman Johan Jonsson has a good on-ice-vision and is good at setting up plays. He is not among the more well-known players on the team but could in fact turn out to be quite important.

Mattias Karlsson

The complete package? Perhaps so. Karlsson has strong overall skills. He has a very good shot (his 11 goals in 27 games this season supports that as well) which can and most likely will be used on the Swedish powerplay Karlsson has also good size and he is not afraid of using his body.

Ola Svanberg

A top prospect and among the most important players on the team. Svanberg isn't a huge defenseman but he is quite strong and can be used in most situations. Being the captain Svanberg will have to be the leader on the team, a task that will likely fit him very well.

Adrian Ahrling

One of the leaders on the team. At the beginning of the season Ahrling was pretty unknown to most people but has during the year played well with the U18-team and will develop into a fine player in the future.

Loui Eriksson

Loui is Lennon Eriksson's younger brother (also with Frölunda) and after having a strong season in junior league as well as with the national team we can expect Loui to have a big role in this tournament also. He plays well along the boards and around the net and can put the puck in the net.

Filip Hollström

Liam Lindström

Kalle Olsson

Frölunda's Kalle Olsson ended up at 5th place in the scoring race in the junior league. He was the best goal scorer in the league with 22 goals in 30 games and overall his offensive skills are quite impressive (technical skills, skating, puckhandling).
