HF’s Third Issue hits the Streets
Building upon the momentum of our last issue, the third issue of Hockey’s Future has been printed and shipped out to subscribers. Watch for promotional copies, which will be available at the Memorial Cup in Quebec City in May.
This issue features a great cover shot of Kelowna Rockets captain Ryan Cuthbert hoisting the WHL Championship Cup during WHL final vs. the Red Deer Rebels. The Rockets went on to win the game 2 to 0 to qualify for the Memorial Cup along with the Hull Olympiques, Kitchener Rangers and the host team, the Quebec Remparts.
The May issue of Hockey’s Future features in-depth stories on all four teams and their accomplishments this season. Each feature story, as well as Tony Bryson’s special Memorial Cup Game Misconduct column, is accompanied by an awesome full-color action photo.
Add in Christa Moore’s Q & A article with Colorado College Tigers defenceman Mark Stuart who is considered a top 15 pick in this year’s draft. This edition of Hockey’s Future is a must-have for Memorial Cup fans. But, the coverage doesn’t just end with the CHL. This issue also features a round-up of Canadian Junior A Hockey League playoff action as well as a feature story on the NCAA Frozen Four. Jason Shaner chipped in with a feature on the United States Hockey League with write-ups on the Clark Cup Champions of 2002-03. Women’s hockey makes its regular spot in the HF Mag with a feature story on Kim St. Pierre.
There’s also articles on the Royal Bank Cup, Air Canada Cup and the AHL playoff race to the Calder Cup as well as a full page feature by RussianProspects.com webmaster and editor Eugene Belashchenko on the top Russian prospects. Finally, there’s a two-page spread detailing the Top 60 NHL prospects as ranked by the Hockey’s Future Prospect Advisor.
