Shots: 27-34
Three Stars: Dobryshkin, Mozyakin,
Upper

Prospects in the lineup:

CSKA: 2nd defensive pairing: Vadim Khomitski (Dallas Stars); 3rd defensive pairing: Andrei Mukhachev (Nashville Predators);
4th defensive pairing: Dmitri Kosmachev (Columbus Blue Jackets); 1st line: LW-Andrei Razin (Philadelphia Flyers); C-Dmitri Upper
(New York Islanders); RW-Sergei Mozyakin (Columbus Blue Jackets); 2nd line: LW-Dmitri Subbotin (Columbus Blue Jackets);

Extra defenseman: Sergei Gimayev (Ottawa Senators);
2nd line: C-Yuri Trubachev (Calgary Flames); LW-Yuri Dobryshkin (Atlanta Thrashers); 3rd line: LW-Maxim Rybin (Anaheim Mighty
Ducks);

Prospect Notes: Atlanta Thrashers prospect Yuri Dobryshkin had
a great game, as he tends to have against CSKA (scoring five goals in three games
against this Super League squad last season). He scored one goal in this game,
squeezing the puck with a precise wrister between the post and the goaltender
where there didn’t seem to be any space. Yuri Trubachev
opened the scoring for Severstal with a nice shot to the top shelf. Playing without
a stick, Vladimir Gorbunov could not stop the pass to Trubachev
from Dobryshkin, leading to that goal. Sergei Mozyakin scored
his league leading 15th of the season with a powerful slap shot that he put all
the mustard he had on. Sergei Soin had a great chance late in the game to put
CSKA ahead, but hit the post.

3rd line: LW-Ivan Tkachenko (Columbus Blue Jackets).
4th line: C-Ivan Nepriayev (Washington Capitals); LW-Konstantin Glazachev (Nashville Predators);

Prospect Notes: Vladimir Antipov caused a big scare early in
the game. He got a breakaway, but was beaten by Sokolov, but then couldn’t
stop and crashed into the boards. The doctor had to come out and examine him,
but fortunately he was only shaken and returned into the game and even scored
Lokomotiv’s third goal. Ivan Nepriayev did not have a
very good game. His unnecessary penalty lead to Avangard’s second goal.

Goalies: Skudra – Fadeev
Penalties: 8-42
Shots: 26-22
Three Stars: Tyurikov, Krikunov, Shafranov.
Prospect Notes: Vancouver Canucks prospect Ilya Krikunov had
a great game. He sent a one-timer to Shafranov for the opening goal, which was
then unfortunately disallowed. Then, the young sniper took matters into his
own hands and opened the scoring with a great wrist shot, beating Fadeev glove
side.
