Since returning from offseason shoulder surgery, Blaine Down has been playing on the first line unit with Kevin Colley and Ben Guite. He has been playing a more physical game and seems to show no lingering effects of any problems with his shoulder. When asked if there is a concern with the shoulder, Down said “You can’t be concerned out there because that’s when you are going to get hit…it definitely lingers in the back of my mind.” Martin Kariya has been playing on a line with Ryan Kraft and Derek Bekar for the past few games, and has even been playing defense on some powerplays, being paired with Mattias Timander. After going 0-2-0 to start the season, goaltender Wade Dubielewicz has won his past four starts, only allowing 5 goals.
