Swedish 2004 prospects December ranking

Below is Hockey’s Future's / Elite Prospects' December Ranking of Swedish 2004 prospects. It has been compiled by Johan Nilsson and Anders Östberg. The next ranking will be posted in late January.
The two top ranked players in this month's ranking, Johan Fransson
and Johannes Salmonsson, both made the Swedish WJC team and
at least Fransson is expected to have a very big role on the team. If they have
strong tournaments it can only increase their stock for the draft.
MoDo's young defenseman Oscar Hedman remains at No. 3. Hedman
has been tearing up the Swedish junior league and is leading all defensemen
with 7 goals and 10 assists in 22 games. Hedman will likely see some icetime
in the SEL after the Christmas break since his team MoDo has released Slovakian
defenseman Dusan Milo.
A player that has slowly been climbing up the ranking during the season is Fredrik
Näslund, currently ranked No. 11. In some regards Näslund
reminds us a bit of a young Mats Sundin and he sure has the same intimidating
size. His large stature and the fact that he is playing against men in the Swedish
2nd tier league should make him an attractive selection for many teams next
summer.
