Center Aki Seitsonen of the Prince Albert Raiders
took part in the 2004 Prospects Game last week. The 6’2” 190 pound Finn was
ranked by Central Scouting as the 26th skater in North America in
their mid term rankings. Seitsonen has scored 13 goals and has added 19 assists
in 49 games in this his first season in the WHL. He is a rare commodity, as
most players from Scandinavia tend to stay at home during their junior years.

Seitsonen played on a line for Team Orr with Ryan Garlock
(ranked 14th) of the Windsor Spitfires and Tyler Haskins (ranked
54th) of the St. Michael’s Majors. He failed to register a point but
did put up some impressive numbers the night before in the skills contest. He
had the fourth best time in the sixty- foot dash, and posted the ninth fastest
time in the fastest skater competition. His hardest shot was timed at 89.4
miles per hour, which put him in the middle of the pack in that event.
