Luch Aquino named OHL Player of the Week

The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Luch Aquino of the Brampton Battalion is the OHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday January 1 after scoring four goals and 11 points in three games last week.
Aquino started the week with two goals, including the game-winner, and three assists in a 5-2 win over the Peterborough Petes on December 29. He added a goal and three assists in a 9-4 win over the Toronto St. Michael’s Majors on December 30 and finished the week with a goal and two assists in a 6-5 win over the Oshawa Generals on New Year’s Eve.
Aquino returned to the Battalion as an overager in December after starting the season in the ECHL. He had two points in his debut before missing three games before the Christmas break with a sore back. Aquino has five goals and nine assists for 14 points in six games since his return to the OHL.
