Coast Skates to 13-10 Win

[Salmon Arm, B.C.]- The BCHL Annual All-Star Showcase in Salmon Arm provided an experience of a lifetime for players and fans alike as many of the top BCHL Stars displayed their talents in front of an appreciative crowd Wednesday night.

Cam MacIntyre opened the scoring just 15 seconds into the opening frame, giving the early lead to the Coast side. Darcy Zajac would reply quickly for the Interior Conference less than a minute later on a set up from Evan Trupp and Andy Zulyniak. The Interior would take the lead just over 2 minutes later as Matt Crowell would connect before the teams showed some defense – maintaining the 2-1 score until late in the first. Matt Dyck and Erik Felde would add goals for the Interior side while Kyle Turris would add a single for the Coast before the end of the opening frame.

The second period would belong to the boys from the Coast as they would tally 7 times in the middle frame while the Interior crew would manage just 2. Colin Greening would lead the way for the Coastal Conference as he would score 3 times and assist on 2 others. Ethan Cox, Turris, Geoff Irwin, and Blair Riley would all count singles as well for the Coastal squad. Zajac and BCHL leading scorer Brandon Wong would reply for the Interior side.

The Coastal Conference would maintain its 3 goal margin through the final frame as each team would score 4 goals before the 60 minutes would elapse. Blair Riley, Matt Butcher, Graham Sheppard, and Greening with his 4th would provide the offense for the Coastal All-Stars while Brandon Wong and Matt Crowell would each record their 2nd goals for the Interior with TJ Miller and Hunter Bishop adding singles.

Colin Greening would rack up 7 points for the Coast while Darcy Zajac and Brandon Campos would each record 4 points for the Interior Conference.
