Team Canada has a few returnees from last year's World Junior Championship squad, a team that ultimately fell a little short of their goal of winning gold.

One of those returnees, forward Ryan Strome of the OHL's Niagara IceDogs, is off to a good start at the 2013 WJC being held in Ufa, Russia.  In Canada's opening game against Germany, Strome scored a goal and added two assists as Canada went on to an easy 9-3 win over the Germans.  The Canadians didn't have it as easy in their second game, but came away with a 6-3 win over Slovakia, including two goals off the stick of Strome.

Canada now enters the toughest portion of their preliminary round schedule with games against the USA and Russia next on the agenda.

Strome spoke with the media following Canada's win over Slovakia, with a Hockey's Future's Chapin Landvogt capturing some of those comments for this HF video.
