Wolski named OHL Player of the Week

The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Brampton Battalion captain Wojtek Wolski is the OHL Player of the Week for the final week of the regular season after scoring four goals and five assists for nine points in three wins last week.

Wolski started the week with two goals and an assist and was the first star in a 6-2 win over the Kingston Frontenacs on March 16. He added an assist in a 4-3 win over the Mississauga IceDogs on March 17 and finished the week with two goals and three assists and another first star selection in a 7-3 win over the Belleville Bulls on March 19.

Wolski helped the Battalion stretch their season-ending winning streak to 14 straight games and helped them clinch first place in the Central Division. He finished third in the OHL scoring race with 47 goals and 81 assists for 128 points in 56 games. He is Brampton’s all-time scoring leader with 328 points in four seasons.
