MNP EASTERN CONFERENCE QUARTER-FINAL RECAP – Mark Derlago scored the game-winner on the power play midway through the third period as the Brandon Wheat Kings skated to a 3-2 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors in Game 3 of their MNP Eastern Conference quarter-final series on Monday, March 27th at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The victory – their second straight in the series – gives the Wheat Kings a 2-1 lead over the Warriors in the best-of-seven opening-round match-up.

Teegan Moore and Sami Sandell also scored for the Wheat Kings while Dustin Kohn and Codey Burki each chipped in a pair of assists in the victory. Wheat Kings goaltender Tyler Plante turned in another solid performance, stopping 33 of 35 shots to pick up the win.

Blair Jones and Kenndal McArdle scored for the Warriors while Troy Brouwer chipped in two helpers. Netminder Joey Perricone stopped 20 of 23 shots he faced in a losing cause.

Brandon hosts Moose Jaw on Thursday night at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg for Game 4 of the series.
