Toronto – The Canadian Hockey League announced today that Vancouver Giants goaltender Dustin Slade is the CHL Player of the Week.

Dustin Slade of the Vancouver Giants was the WHL Player of the Week and ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week after picking up a pair of shutout wins last week to help him go the entire week without allowing a single goal while posting 60 saves. In Game 3 Slade recorded 32 saves in a 5-0 shutout road win over the Everett Silvertips. In Game 4 Slade made 28 saves in another 5-0 shutout road win to eliminate the Silvertips and advance the Giants to the WHL Championship series for the first time in franchise history.

Alexander Radulov was the QMJHL’s nominee for CHL Player of the Week after scoring four goals and 10 points. The Rempart forward had his best performance in Game 5 as Quebec defeated Acadie-Bathurst by a score of 5-2. Dennis started the week with 35 saves in a 2-1 win over the Guelph Storm in Game 4 of the Western Conference Championship Series.
