Four QMJHL teams atop CHL Mosaik MasterCard Top 10 rankings

BOUCHERVILLE, Wednesday, October 4, 2006 – The Canadian Hockey League today announced the CHL Top 10 rankings for week two. Four Quebec Major Junior Hockey League teams managed to crack the upper echelon of the CHL.

The Vancouver Giants took over the #1 spot in the standings this week thanks to their perfect record. They are followed by the Everett Silvertips and the Baie-Comeau Drakkar.

The Drakkar have been on a tear since the start of the new campaign. They have won six of their first seven games and sit at the top of the QMJHL overall standings with twelve points.

The Gatineau Olympiques (4th), Moncton Wildcats (7th) and Shawinigan Cataractes (10th) complete the QMJHL representatives in the top ten.

The weekly rankings of the Canadian Hockey League’s top 10 teams are selected by a panel of National Hockey League scouts.
