OHL Press Release

The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Toronto St. Michael’s Majors’ overage forward Justin Donati is the OHL Player of the Week for the week ending October 22, 2006. Donati, a resident of Oakville, Ontario scored seven goals and eight points in three games this past week.

Donati started his week off with a bang leading the Majors to a 7-6 win over the Mississauga IceDogs, scoring three goals and adding an assist in the contest. Two nights later Donati picked up his second straight hat trick as he helped to propel Toronto St. Michael’s to a 6-3 road victory over Kitchener.

On Sunday, Donati extended his goal scoring streak to five games, with a goal in a losing effort against the Barrie Colts.

Justin and his twin brother Tyler (Belleville Bulls) have combined to score almost 400 career points in the Ontario Hockey League. Both brothers looked poised to once again have solid seasons as Justin and Tyler are both currently in the top 15 of league scoring.
