James Reimer named ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week

Toronto – The Canadian Hockey League today announced that James Reimer of the Red Deer Rebels is the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending Sunday October 22 after posting a 2-0-0-0 record, along with a 1.00 goals against average and a .968 save percentage in two starts last week.

The 18-year-old native of Arborg, Manitoba started the week by stopping 24 shots in a 2-1 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors on October 21. He followed up with a 36-save effort in a 4-1 win over the Calgary Hitmen on October 22.

Each week the CHL recognizes the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week and will present the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Year Award to the CHL’s top netminder at the conclusion of the 2006-07 season.
