Vandermeer named Boston Pizza WHL Player of the Week

Calgary – The BOSTON PIZZA WHL Player of the Week is forward Ted Vandermeer of the Red Deer Rebels.

Vandermeer earned player of the week honours by recording five goals and six points in two games during the week of November 13th to 19th, leading the Rebels to two consecutive wins.

On Friday, November 17th, Vandermeer scored two goals, including the game-winner, and boasted a plus-3 rating to lead the Rebels to a 4-2 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors.

On Saturday, November 18th, Vandermeer scored three goals, including the overtime game-winner, and added an assist to pace the Rebels to a 5-4 win over the Tigers in Medicine Hat.

Vandermeer, a 20-year-old product of Caroline, Alberta, is a free agent.

Honourable mention goes to Kris Russell of the Medicine Hat Tigers.
