Toronto – The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Barrie Colts’ forward Bryan Little is the OHL Player of the Week for the week ending November 19, 2006. Little, who was drafted 12th overall by the Atlanta Thrashers in this past June’s NHL Entry Draft, registered 10 points in three games last week. This marks the second time this season that Little has been named the OHL Player of the Week.
The OHL Player of the Month for October, Little scored four goals and had ten points in three games last week. He started his week with three assists on Thursday night as the Colts defeated Owen Sound 5-4. The next night, the native of Edmonton, AB had a hat trick, including the game winning goal and added two assists as the Colts beat the Oshawa Generals 7-5. Little was named first star of the game for his stellar performance.
Little finished his week on Saturday scoring the game winning goal and adding an assist to help the Colts sweep all of their games last week with a 4-2 win at home over the Toronto St. Michael’s Majors.
Little is currently third in OHL scoring with 48 points in 23 games played and is tied for the league lead with 21 goals. He is also the current active career points leader in the Ontario Hockey League, with 283.
