VAL-D’OR – The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League stars won the second game of the ADT Canada-Russia Challenge 4-3 in front of 2,301 fans thanks to a strong two-goal performance by forward Marc-Andre Cliche, which earned him the ADT player of the game award.

“It’s always nice to win the player of the game award. We (players) got a chance to know each other over the course of the past few days, and we really became a team in the process,” commented the all-star forward.

Francis Pare and Maxime Lacroix also scored for the QMJHL squad.

Goaltender Ilia Proskuryakov was again named the ADT player of the game on the Russian side thanks to his 37 saves, while forward Vadim Shipachev provided most of the offense by scoring twice.

The ADT Canada-Russia Challenge continues this Thursday as the OHL and Russian all-stars battle in Sarnia.
