Dustin Jeffrey Named OHL Player of the Week

Toronto – The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds forward Dustin Jeffrey is the OHL Player of the Week for the week ending November 26, 2006. The native of Sarnia, Ontario scored two goals and added nine assists for 11 points in three games last week. He also finished the week with a plus/minus rating of plus six.

Jeffrey had four assists and was named the game’s first star on Wednesday as the Greyhounds picked up a 6-3 road victory over Saginaw. On Friday, Jeffrey scored a goal, added two assists and was a plus four on the night as Sault St. Marie defeated Owen Sound 7-4, at home. He finished off his week on Saturday with a goal and three assists as the Greyhounds fell to Ottawa 5-4 at home, in a shootout. Jeffrey was once again named first star of the game.

Jeffrey also represented the OHL in the 2006 ADT Canada Russia Series in Sarnia, last week. He had two assists in the game including the set-up of the game winning goal.

Jeffrey currently leads the Greyhounds with a career high 42 points.
