Thomas Beauregard named CHL Player of the Week

Toronto - The Canadian Hockey League announced today that Thomas Beauregard of the Acadie-Bathurst Titan is the CHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday Dec. 10 after scoring four goals and five assists for nine points in two games.
Beauregard, who became the first player to win CHL player of the week honours twice this season, opened the week with two goals and three assists in a 6-5 shootout loss to the Quebec Remparts on Dec. 8. He scored two goals, including the game-winner, and added two assists in a 6-2 win over the Lewiston Maineiacs on Dec. 10. Beauregard became the first player in the CHL to reach the 40-goal plateau this season and moved into the CHL scoring lead with 42 goals and 71 points in 34 games.
Riley Holzapfel of the Moose Jaw Warriors was the WHL nominee after scoring three goals and eight points in three games while Tom Sestito of the Plymouth Whalers was the OHL nominee after he scored six goals and seven points in three games.
